Madonna "facing lawsuit over 'Vogue' sample"

Madonna is facing a lawsuit over samples she allegedly used in her track 'Vogue', according to reports.

TMZ say that a lawsuit has been filed by record company VMG Salsoul over claims she never paid to use samples in her 1990 track 'Vogue'.

They claim that strings and horns were sampled from Salsoul Orchestra's 1975 song 'Chicago Bus Stop (Ooh, I Love It)' - but they say Madonna never paid for their use.

As a result, they claim Madonna has pocketed huge profits from the success of the song.

The lawsuit has only reared its head now because new technology meant the record label could identify the sounds more easily.
