Scouting For Girls singer reveals he is writing more songs for One Direction

Scouting For Girls singer Roy Stride has revealed that he has been busy penning tracks for One Direction.

Stride has already written material for the pop superstars in the past, with his track 'Stand Up' featuring as a bonus track on the boyband's debut album 'Up All Night'.

Speaking about the song, Stride told the Daily Record that he recognised the potential of One Direction immediately so began writing songs for them straight away. He said:

"I saw One Direction on X Factor and instantly knew they were gonna be huge – so I started writing a couple of tracks for them straight away. We're both under Sony so I passed them to their management and A&R team. A couple of weeks later, I got an email back from Simon Cowell saying he loved the tracks."

Stride added that he is working on more material for the band. He said:

"Currently, I'm working on a couple more cheeky One Direction tracks. I'm hoping you'll be hearing more about a song of mine called Party on a School Night."
