The ex-girlfriend of The Wanted star Max George believes he needs time as a single man.

George recently broke up with former girlfriend Michelle Keegan - a couple of months after they called off their engagement.

Speaking to the Mirror, George's ex-girlfriend Bobbi Aney, who went out with the singer for three years, said she thinks George would benefit from being single for a while. She said:

"I think he just needs to be single. Michelle obviously, somehow, learnt a lot quicker than I did to break up with him after a year."

Speaking about George and Keegan, Aney added: "He got her number while we were still officially together. Not only did he have a girlfriend publicly, but she was a soap star. It was a kick in the teeth. No-one can ever understand what it's like to split with someone and then see them move on in the press."
