Little Mix have revealed that they have heard a new song by One Direction.

The boyband - who features Zayn Malik, girlfriend of Little Mix's Perrie Edwards - are currently working on the follow-up to their hit debut album 'Up All Night' and anticipation for their new material is understandably high.

The X Factor winners were asked by Capital FM if they have heard any new songs from the global superstars, with Jade Thirlwall replying:

"We heard a cheeky little song, but we're not allowed to say anything. It's brilliant. The fans will love it."

Thirlwall's bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock meanwhile hinted that the two groups could join forces in the future for a collaboration. She said:

"I think it would be really interesting – a Little Mix and One Direction [song]. Imagine what that would be like."
