The Olympics Opening Ceremony: Kylie Minogue, The Wanted & Glee stars tweet about their reaction

A whole host of pop stars took to Twitter last night to express their views on the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.

The four-hour spectacle at the Olympic Stadium, said to be watched by over a billion people, received an overwhelmingly positive reaction from some of music’s biggest names.

Jay McGuinness from The Wanted posted: “Olympic opening ceremony- GENIUS!! Go on Your Majesty, you dive out of that copter!! Whey! This is the only Olympic ceremony I’ve seen with a sense of humour!”

Kylie Minogue tweeted: “#olympicceremony AMAZING AMAZING AMAAAAAZING!!”

Rizzle Kicks, whose second hit single was played during the digital age section of the event said: “When I Was A Youngster played during the Olympic opening ceremony. Speechless."

One Republic commented: “The Olympic opening ceremony....... Perfect. Great Job London- u raised the bar- that grass/tree hill thing defies logic. Amazing!!!”

While Glee’s Chris Colfer joked: “London! The Royal Family! JK Rowling! Performance Spectacles! I'm so honored the 2012 Summer Olympics are dedicated to me!”
