Ellie Goulding confirms new album 'Halcyon'

Ellie Goulding has confirmed the name and release date of her new album.

The singer is set to unleash the follow-up to her 2010 effort 'Lights' on October 8.

The album will be called 'Halcyon' and it will be preceded by the single 'Anything Could Happen', which is due for a September 30 release.

Goulding meanwhile recently spoke to TIME magazine about her new boyfriend - dubstep dynamo Skrillex - with the singer admitting that they both inspire each other. She said:

"I think we influence each other - not necessarily in music, but in the way that any couple would influence each other. One of the reasons that we first liked each other is that we're both very motivated and we work really hard. We just want to make good music and tour and I think, you know, we motivate each other."
