Conor Maynard on working with Rita Ora: "I did start crying at one point"

Rising star Conor Maynard has admitted that working with 'Hot Right Now' songstress Rita Ora was a "nice touch", but he was nervous to share studio time with her.

Speaking to Sugarscape, the 19-year-old explained that he's known Ora for a while and joked that he was so overwhelmed to work with her that he burst into tears:

"[It was] kind of scary. I did start crying at one point - I had to go into the corner and calm myself down and go back in the room."

"No I'm joking! Me and Rita, we've been friends for a long time and I've known her for ages, so to go into the studio and work with her was a really nice touch to the album. I really feel honoured to have such amazing people on my album."

When asked how he would celebrate a great chart position, he added: "I'd probably go back to Brighton and have some mad, mad party with all my friends..and probably wake up regretting it all the next morning!"

His new single, 'Vegas Girl', debuted at No.4 on the UK Top 40 yesterday (July 29) and his album, 'Contrast', is set to chart later this week.
