Leona Lewis has revealed that she will be rapping on her new album.

The former X Factor winner is currently readying her next album 'Glassheart' for release in October and it seems like she might be about to stray from the pop singing she is known for.

Lewis even suggested that she would be able to take on motormouth Nicki Minaj in a rap battle. She said:

"On my new album I will be rapping. I've discovered my voice for rapping. I could probably go up against Nicki Minaj now. I'm actually that good, so I'm coming for you Nicki! London style MCing."

As previously reported, Lewis revealed that 'Glassheart' was set to be somewhat edgier than her previous material.

She hinted towards some drum 'n' bass cameos on the album, as well as a 90s sound.
