Rita Ora reveals Jay-Z advised her to study Chris Martin

Rita Ora has revealed that Jay-Z advised her to study Chris Martin to understand how a great performer works.

The ‘R.I.P.’ singer, who recently admitted that her Roc Nation label boss originally told her she wasn’t good enough, told GQ magazine that the rap superstar encouraged her to look to the Coldplay frontman for inspiration:

“The best advice he gave was, ‘Have you seen Chris Martin perform? It’s literally just him on a stage. He rocks it out’.

“Jay told me, ‘You don’t need dancers and stuff around you.’ ”

The 21-year-old, who this week declared she would love to be the female Kanye West, also told The Sun that her life wasn’t so glamorous as a youngster:

“I shared a room with my sister and I had to not make noise when she was sleeping.

“Now I have my own place, it’s like... I don’t even have to be quiet.”
