Conor Maynard has admitted he would be open to the idea of dating a cougar. 

The 19-year-old, who this week confessed he has to deal with hordes of screaming teenage girls on a daily basis, said that he also now has to contend with older fans:

"A fair share of mums do turn up at my shows. If i met someone and there was a connection, their age wouldn't make a difference.

"Unless it was ridiculous and she was in her 70s."

The 'Can't Say No' singer, who is set to chart at No.1 later today with his debut album, 'Contrast,' also went on to reveal he's not afraid to show his romantic side:

"I'm single and ready to mingle. I don't have the time to give a girl what she deserves because things are crazy right now.

"I'm focused on getting where I want to be. But in a relationship, I like to go one step further.

"One ex-girlfriend really wanted to see a West end show in London, so I booked tickets, then arranged for her to stay at a five-star hotel as well. She was really excited."
