Carly Rae Jepsen confirms album title 'Kiss' and reveals release date

'Call Me Maybe' hitmaker Carly Rae Jepsen has finally confirmed details of her major label debut album.

In an official statement, the Canadian songstress explained that the record will be titled 'Kiss' and is due to be released on September 18:

"These are lyric and song ideas that I have been collecting over the years. The record is pop. It's inspired by Robyn, the Cars, Madonna, and believe it or not, James Taylor. I can't wait to share it with everyone!"

She dropped a hint about the album's name yesterday (August 6) when she asked her 2 million followers on Twitter to write in and tell her about their first kiss experiences.

'Kiss' features collaborations with such artists and producers as Max Martin, Dallas Austin, LMFAO's Redfoo, Toby Gad, Marianas Trench singer Josh Ramsay and Matthew Koma, and she admitted that it was inspiring to work with such talented stars:

"I can't tell you how lucky I feel to be able to collaborate with some of my dream producers. It has been the most fulfilling experience."
