Rihanna praises trendsetting London fashion

Rihanna has lavished praise on London's style, claiming that it helps set new fashion trends.

The singer is turning style guru for new Sky Living TV show Styled To Rock, which is set to task budding British fashion designers with numerous challenges as they vie to win the competition.

Rihanna will act as a mentor figure on the series, whilst Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts will help host the programme.

The 'Talk That Talk' superstar said that British capital London is one of the fashion hotspots of the world, adding that she likes to hit the streets to check out the latest trends. She said:

"London has always been one of my favourite cities to come to. I always go out on the street walking around to see what the kids are doing. They always set the trends for the designers. I find that the kids in London have so much style, so much street style and so much talent. This show was a way for me to give these kids the opportunity to see how far they can go."

The first episode of Styled to Rock is set to air in the UK tomorrow (August 14).
