Little Mix plot Spice Girls duet

Little Mix have put a duet with the Spice Girls firmly in their sights.

The 2011 X Factor winners are one of the new breed of female pop groups but it seems that they're angling for a collaboration with the 90s pop icons, who reunited for one night only at the Olympic Games Closing Ceremony on Sunday (August 12).

Speaking to i-D, Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall revealed that they met Spice Girl Emma Bunton last year, adding that they regret not propositioning her with a duet request. She said about the Spice Girls:

"We'd love to do something special with them."

Thirlwall added: "We met Emma Bunton at a dinner last year and we were really starstruck and quiet. We should have asked her then."

As previously reported, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards recently opened up on her relationship with One Direction's Zayn Malik, calling it "amazing".
