One Direction, Cheryl Cole and The Wanted wish students good luck for exam results

A host of top music names have been wishing good luck to students receiving exam results today (August 16).

Teenagers are currently shredding open envelopes all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland as they receive their important A-level results.

A myriad of music stars have been taking to Twitter to wish fans success in their exams, with One Direction's Zayn Malik tweeting:

"Good luck to every1 picking up there A-Level results today :D x."

Cheryl Cole meanwhile said: "Good luck to everyone getting their results today!! X."

The Wanted, who are currently in Canada, took time to post on their Twitter page: "Special good luck goes out to all of you expecting exam results...we got our fingers crossed for you! x."
