Melanie B has dismissed reports that Victoria Beckham didn’t want to perform at the London 2012 closing ceremony.

Posh Spice’s gloomy appearance at Sunday night’s Olympic Stadium event sparked rumours that she wasn’t excited about the group’s reunion, but the 37-year-old told Australia’s Herald Sun that such talk is nonsense:

"If she didn't want to be there, she wouldn't be there. Nobody forced anybody to do anything. To some, it doesn't sound good enough to say: 'They're happy and they're best friends'.''

The Leeds singer also denied stories in the British paper about her making several demands before the show including asking for a personal stylist and preferential treatment for her family and friends:

"It was us five girls and we all had hair and make-up in the dressing room. That was it."
