Olympic diver Tom Daley has conceded that he probably has no chance of landing a date with Cheryl Cole.

The pair interacted on social networking website Twitter after Daley appeared at the London 2012 Olympic Games, where he won a bronze medal in the men's 10m platform event.

Cole had been asking for diving lessons from the 18-year-old but he told Heat that he'll probably just stick to giving her tips on how to dive. Talking about his chances of dating the Girls Aloud star, Daley replied:

"I haven't got a hope in hell! It'll be cool to finally meet her and teach her how to dive. It would just be embarrassing if I asked her out. It's not going to work. I wish I did have the courage to ask her."

The diver also revealed that he is the proud owner of Cheryl Cole calendar. Daley added:

"I've got her calendar on my wall, so I'm used to seeing her half-naked and I see divers half-naked every day, although it is Cheryl!"
