Carly Rae Jepsen discusses 'Kiss' album name

Carly Rae Jepsen has said she called her new album 'Kiss' because a lot of its material is centered around love.

The 'Call Me Maybe' singer recently revealed that she is set to release her new album 'Kiss' on September 17 and September 18 in the US.

Speaking to MTV, Jepsen said that she conjured up the title name whilst giving an interview.

The Canadian added that the highly anticipated release focuses on love and "flirtation". She said:

"I was at an interview once, and someone just came out and asked me, 'What's your album going to be called?' and I was like, 'Kiss', and that was how I decided. It really is an album about love, flirtation and the beginnings of things and it felt like it really suited it. There's a track called 'This Kiss' on the album, which I think is probably my favourite song so that's probably why."

26-year-old Jepsen meanwhile opened up on her first kiss, revealing that she was a late teenager when it happened. She added:

"I waited for my first kiss. I waited until I was 17, and he was a jazz singer named Brenden Call. Nice guy, sweet guy. We still keep in touch on Facebook."
