Rita Ora on scrapping entire first version of debut album

Rita Ora has revealed that she shelved the original version of her debut album because she felt it didn't truly reflect her.

Rising star Ora was snapped up by Jay-Z's label Roc Nation when she was 18 and it has been something of a steady rise to fame ever since.

The 21-year-old is releasing her debut album 'Ora' on Monday (August 27) but she told the Mirror that her maiden release would have been different if she and Jay-Z hadn't decided to scrap their original recordings. She said:

"I was signed at 18 and had to grow up quickly. It's incredible to have that sort of business mind behind you. It's all very well thought through and he's patient. I had a whole album done and I scrapped it when I was 19, I didn't feel it was me. Jay was like, 'OK, start again'."

Ora meanwhile opened up about a wardrobe malfunction she had in June, with her father not too happy about the revealing incident. She added:

"Recently I had a nipple slip. At Lovebox, my nipple came out. My dad sent me an email saying, 'Please don't let this happen again, thanks'. So I bought some nipple tassles and said, 'Don’t worry, Dad, that won't happen again I've got a whole bunch of nipple tassles'. And he said, 'No! Buy bras'."
