LL Cool J detains suspected burglar at Los Angeles home

LL Cool J detained a man who broke into his house for a suspected burglary on Wednesday (August 22).

The rapper and actor managed to hold off the intruder, who is said to be a 58-year-old homeless man, until police arrived.

LA police have confirmed that there was a "brief physical confrontation between the two" as LL Cool J attempted to protect his property.

Police have confirmed that the man will be charged with burglary.

The rapper's spokesman Rhett Usry confirmed that his client and family are safe following the incident, saying:

"LL Cool J, and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern. As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter."
