Police investigation underway after cars and belongings stolen from Chris Moyles' home

Police are hunting for burglars who looted the home of BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles.

The BBC reports that two cars were taken from Moyles' North London home on Thursday (August 23).

It is said they also took personal belongings from the house whilst the radio star is reportedly away on holiday.

A Scotland Yard spokesman has confirmed that Moyles' two cars have been found and that they are investigating the incident. They said:

"We are investigating a burglary that took place on Thursday at an address in Highgate. Two vehicles that were stolen as a result of the burglary have been recovered and inquiries are continuing. There have been no arrests at this time."

Moyles has been the presenter of Radio 1's breakfast show for the last eight years but announced recently that he is due to be replaced by Nick Grimshaw next month.
