Carly Rae Jepsen has lavished praise on her new boyfriend, calling him "really great and talented".

It emerged recently that the 'Call Me Maybe' singer is dating singer-songwriter Matthew Koma.

Speaking to People, Jepsen said that Koma is a "really great guy and really talented".

She added that her favourite romantic things to do include spontaneity and also cooking at home. The popular singer added:

"I love to go on spontaneous dates and do things that we've never tried before or stay at home and make a homemade dinner. I really like to cook. One of my favorite things to make is homemade sushi. I know how to make the rolls and it's really fun to do."

Jepsen, meanwhile, is due to release her major label debut album 'Kiss' on September 18.
