Ronan Keating refuses to write songs about marriage heartache

Ronan Keating has confirmed that his new album 'Fires' won't contain any songs about his estranged wife.

The Boyzone singer separated from wife Dawn in 2010 after it emerged that he had indulged in an affair with a backing dancer.

The pair have three children together - Jack, 13, Marie, 11, and Ali, 6 - and they have tried to stay friends for the benefit of their kids.

Keating has confirmed that he hasn't been writing songs about anyone in particular - because he has already created too much "heartache". He said:

"I haven't written songs about anyone. I've hurt enough people. I've caused enough trouble and heartache."

He continued: "I don't want to do that on this record. I want calm. That's where I am."

Keating is set to release 'Fires' on September 3.
