Little Mix claim midweek singles chart No.1 with 'Wings'

Former X Factor winners Little Mix have shot straight into the No.1 position with their debut single, 'Wings'.

The track has dominated the UK Top 40 this afternoon (August 29) in the midweek update and it knocked Sam and the Womp's chart-topping hit 'Bom Bom' down a place to No.2. The Official Charts Company confirmed that 'Wings' is currently outselling 'Bom Bom' by 2 copies to 1.

Owl City's 'Good Time' has climbed an impressive 14 places to No.3 with 'Good Time', which also features Carly Rae Jepsen, X Factor hopeful Lucy Spraggan has debuted at 5 with her self-penned audition song 'Last Night', and N-Dubz's Fazer has made an impact at 12 with 'Killer'.

Bajan stars Cover Drive have made an appearance at 24 with 'Explode', which is a collaboration with Dappy, Devlin's 'Watchtower' has fallen 13 positions to No.20, and fun.'s 'Some Nights' has risen 3 spots to 21.

The Little Mix girls will be at Kent's Bluewater shopping mall tomorrow (August 30) for their first ever book signing and tweeted about the exciting event today: "Yo yo little mixers! Can't wait to go blue water tomorrow for our book signing! Whoop whoop! Can't wait to meet you guys! :D x Leigh"
