Music mogul Simon Cowell has given his opinions on the two new additions to the X Factor USA panel.

According to Now magazine, the superstar and businessman described Demi Lovato as "a brat" and Britney Spears as "quite mean".

Referring specifically to former Disney actress and singer Lovato, Cowell joked that despite his previous comment "there's something really likeable about her" and when quizzed on what he thinks about Spears' abilities as a judge he added:

"And as for Britney, I've always said she's the number one person I've wanted on one of these shows. I thought it would be interesting to have her on the show. You see another side of her - Britney's quite mean, which you'll discover!"
