Lady Gaga unveils colour changing electric wig invention

Lady Gaga has revealed a new wig that can alter its colour.

The eccentric singer posted a video on her social networking website Little Monsters in which she talks about the new invention, with the 'Born This Way' star revealing that it took six months to design.

The wig contains fibre optics that light up, with the colour able to be changed remotely via an electronic connection.

Speaking about the striking invention, Gaga said:

"The wig is made out of a mixture of real human hair and the finest fibre optics in existence – they move and feel like real hair and is handmade. The hair was inspired by taking a Disney princess and taking her in a rave."

She added that it can be plugged into the lighting system at her concerts - meaning that her crew can change the colour themselves.
