Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden has suffered an unfortunate fall following his honeymoon trip and cracked his shin open to expose bone.

The star is currently celebrating his recent marriage to model Vogue Williams, but was working out in the gym when he slipped and smashed his leg. Writing on Twitter earlier today (September 6), he explained:

"That horrible moment when you fall and see bone sticking out of your shin. #itsbeenaweekofaccidents."

"Slipped in the gym holding two 25 dumbbells. Crack my shin off a step then crushed my hand with the dumbbell. Nothing worse than seeing bone."

McFadden was married at an intimate ceremony on Sunday, September 2 in Florence, Italy.
