The Vaccines top UK album chart with Come Of Age

The Vaccines have today scored their first number one album with ‘Come Of Age.’

Their second studio effort fended off stiff competition from Two Door Cinema Club’s ‘Beacon’ to eclipse the No.4 position of their debut, ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines.’

Last week’s chart-topper, Rita Ora’s ‘Ora,’ dropped to No.3, Emeli Sande’s ‘Our Version Of Events’ fell to No.4, while Ronan Keating debuted at No.5 with his ninth album, ‘Fires.’

Elsewhere, there were new entries for Mark Knopfler’s ‘Privateering,’ Scouting For Girls’ ‘The Light Between Us,’ Matchbox Twenty’s ‘North,’ Milk’s ‘Tales From The Thames Delta,’ and Cat Power’s ‘Sun.'
