Robbie Williams wants X Factor return: 'As long as there's an audience I'll be involved'

Cheeky singer Robbie Williams has confirmed that he will be making an appearance on the new series of The X Factor.

His new single, 'Candy', premiered on UK radio this morning (September 10) and speaking to Capital FM's breakfast show he explained that as long as the popular televised talent contest has an active audience he will be involved in one way or another:

"Oh yes. As long as there's an X Factor there will be a Robbie Williams on The X Factor – as long as people are still watching it."

He added that while a position hasn't yet been offered to him officially, following his experience as a guest mentor he would be up for anything: "I'll do whatever they want me to."

Williams also revealed what a pleasure it was to work with Xtra Factor's Olly Murs and the One Direction lads, admitting: "I had a wonderful time with One Direction when I was on that show and Olly Murs."
