Plan B shortlisted for Barclaycard Mercury Prize 2012

The list of Barclaycard Mercury Prize nominees has finally been unveiled and it sees British hitmaker Plan B included in the group of talented musicians.

His album, 'iLL Manors', secured him the nod and he will compete against the likes of The Maccabees, Jessie Ware and Lianne La Havas for the coveted and well-respected title.

Earlier this week, Plan B announced details of a forthcoming UK tour in support of his new record and the dates are due to begin on February 4, 2013 with a show in Cardiff.

The Barclaycard Mercury Prize will be announced on November 1 at an awards ceremony at London's Roundhouse.
