Slash clears up Robbie Williams collaboration rumours

Iconic rocker Slash has taken to his official Twitter page to set the record straight about his supposed duet with Take That hitmaker Robbie Williams.

It was reported earlier this week that the pair had teamed up for an exciting collaboration, but Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has now confirmed that while he was approached to work with the 'Angels' sensation a matter of conflicting schedules prevented the partnership from happening:

"There's a rumor going round that I'm playing on Robbie William's (sic) new record; we discussed it but my schedule made it not possible. RW is a brilliant artist. & a good friend. The song itself is fantastic. I would have loved to have done it if it were possible."

Williams unveiled the video for his new single 'Candy' yesterday (September 11) and the track will be released on October 29. His new album, 'Take The Crown', will follow on November 5.
