One Direction fans snap up tickets to Louis Tomlinson charity football event

Fans of One Direction have jumped at the chance to see one of their idols play football.

Louis Tomlinson will team up with amateur football club Three Horsehoes for a match against Doncaster Rovers next month for charity and tickets went on sale this morning (September 17).

The pop star used to play for the team and recently helped fund the club after finding out that they were struggling to buy a new kit.

He is overseeing the charity event due to be held at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium on October 22, with the One Direction star set to play his part on the pitch too.

A host of fans managed to snap up tickets this morning via the Doncaster Rovers website as excitement over the event reaches fever pitch.
