'Battle Born' by The Killers is named the UK's midweek No.1 album

The Killers have made an impressive chart debut today (September 19) in the midweek update with their brand new album, 'Battle Born'.

The Las Vegas rockers entered at No.1 and are ahead of P!nk's new offering 'The Truth About Love', which has shot in at No.2, by 9,000 copies according to the Official Charts Company.

Former chart-topper 'Coexist' by The xx has dropped 3 places to No.4, Michael Jackson's iconic record 'Bad' has made an appearance at No.6, and Canadian sensation Carly Rae Jepsen has landed at No.8 with her highly anticipated studio album, 'Kiss'.

Meanwhile, Nelly Furtado's 'The Spirit Indestructible' has entered at 34 and One Direction's first album 'Up All Night' has fallen 10 positions to No.35 after an impressive 44 weeks on the chart.
