Carly Rae Jepsen has "fallen in love with the UK"

Carly Rae Jepsen has revealed that she has developed a strong affinity for the UK.

The Canadian pop songstress has been over the in the coutry recently to promote her new album 'Kiss', which was released on Monday (September 17) and then a day later in the US.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Jepsen - who performed this summer at Wembley Stadium for Capital FM's Summertime Ball - said that she is a big fan of British culture. The 'Call Me Maybe' star said:

"I've fallen in love with the UK; the fashion, the architecture, the accents. But I haven't had enough time to really check things out so I plan to take some time off and return."

Jepsen meanwhile also commented on the sound of her new album, confirming that she set out to make it as fit for dancing as possible. She added:

"It's pure pop. For years I was attracted to songs that made me want to dance, and this is the result."
