Leona Lewis names Kate Bush as inspiration for new album

Leona Lewis has named Kate Bush as one of the main inspirations for her new album.

The 2006 X-Factor winner, who releases third studio album, 'Glassheart,' next month, told The Sun that she was majorly influenced by the 'Wuthering Heights' star when it came to vocal technique:

“Kate Bush was definitely an inspiration for some of the songs that are on this record in terms of the register she uses.

“I was classically trained from a young age – I actually wanted to be an opera singer.”

The 27-year-old also unveiled a brand new track from the record yesterday entitled 'Stop The Clocks,' one of several numbers on the album written by Emeli Sande.
