The Killers score fourth UK number one album

The Killers have today scored their fourth UK number one album with ‘Battle Born.’

The Las Vegas quartet’s fourth studio effort fended off competition from Pink’s ‘The Truth About Love’ to join ‘Hot Fuss,’ ‘Sam’s Town’ and ‘Day & Age’ on their list of chart-toppers.

The Script’s ‘#3’ fell to No.3, last week’s number one, The xx’s ‘Coexist’ dropped to No.4, Emeli Sande’s ‘Our Version Of Events’ held firm at No.5, while there were Top 10 debuts for Michael Jackson’s ‘Bad’ (No.6) and Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Kiss' (No.9).

Elsewhere, there were new entries for Grizzly Bear’s ‘Shields' (No.17) Band Of Horses’ ‘Mirage Rock,' (No.20) Rival Sons’ ‘Head Down' (No.31), Richie Sambora’s ‘Aftermath of the Lowdown' (No.35) and Ben Folds Five's 'The Sound of the Life of the Mind' (No.40).
