One Direction star Harry Styles has helped his friend Nick Grimshaw launch his first ever BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show.

The radio presenter took over the reins from Chris Moyles today (September 24), who had hosted the show for over eight years.

Harry Styles had previously appeared in new advertising material ahead of the show's launch, promoting 'Team Grimmy'.

He was interviewed on the show and revealed that One Direction are currently filming material for their upcoming tour. Styles said:

"We're shooting our video for our tour screens, which is a three day shoot."

Grimshaw will be speaking to a different member of the band each day this week.
