Usher has postponed his scheduled 2013 European tour due to "professional and personal commitments".

The R&B star was due to hit the continent next year, with six dates planned in the UK in January and February.

However, since announcing the tour, Usher has signed up to appear on US reality TV show The Voice as a temporary mentor.

This has meant that he will push back his European Euphoria tour dates to autumn 2013. A statement reads:

"Due to professional and personal commitments Usher will have to reschedule his upcoming European tour dates. With the recently-confirmed commitment to The Voice, to ensure that his fans worldwide are treated to the best possible concert experience, the entire tour will be rescheduled to fall 2013 with dates in both North America and Europe scheduled to run concurrently at that time."
