'Gangnam Style' set to conquer the UK singles chart this week

Korean YouTube phenomenon Psy is headed straight for the top of this UK singles chart this week with his viral hit, 'Gangnam Style'.

Although the song isn't a new entry, it has climbed to the No.1 position in today's (September 26) midweek update and the Official Charts Company has reported that it's leading by more than 6,000 copies.

Meanwhile, The Script's collaboration with Will.i.Am on 'Hall Of Fame' has dipped a place to No.2, Taylor Swift's anthemic 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' has climbed 2 to No.4, and Mumford & Sons have risen 4 places to No.12 as their new record 'Babel' landed at No.1 on the albums chart.

Paloma Faith's new single, 'Never Tear Us Apart', has made an appearance this afternoon at No.13, fun.'s 'We Are Young' is still in the Top 40 at No.34 after 25 weeks on the chart, and Professor Green's 'Avalon' has climbed 10 to No.28.
