'Gangnam Style' Psy wants to work with One Direction

Global YouTube star Psy has revealed a desire to work with One Direction.

The Korean's hit track 'Gangnam Style' has accumulated nearly 300 million views on YouTube and it is hitting charts across the world.

The song, which is noted for its dance routine, is currently set to land at No.1 in the UK singles chart this weekend (September 30).

Speaking to the Mirror, Psy said that he would like to collaborate with fellow global stars One Direction in the future. He said:

"I'd love to work with them. They're huge and cool."

Psy meanwhile cited Queen as a major influence on his musical upbringing, with late singer Freddie Mercury a particular hero. He said:

"My role model and dream of being a musician was inspired by Queen and Freddie Mercury. I remember them playing at Wembley. Freddie is a great hero of mine."

The YouTube star added: "I'd like to teach Brian May the Gangnam Style dance."
