Rita Ora on music career: "I've paid my dues"

Rita Ora reckons she deserves to enjoy the perks of the music industry because she worked so hard to get where she is.

The 21-year-old singer made her mainstream breakthrough in late 2011 but The Sun quotes her as saying that it has been a hard slog in the years previous.

Ora said that she has had to endure numerous dingy hotels as she worked her way up the music industry. She said:

"I really have paid my dues. When I get to stay in fancy hotel suites these days, I remind myself of that."

The 'Hot Right Now' star continued: "I did endless nights in Travelodges, nasty hotels and motels where the walls were paper-thin. You could hear people making love or farting in the next room. Gross."

Ora signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label in 2009 and has just released her debut album 'Ora'.
