Carolynne Poole "gutted" at X Factor exit amid fix claims

X Factor contestant Carolynne Poole has criticised the X Factor after being dumped from the show.

The singer left the TV talent show on Sunday (October 7) in a flurry of controversy after judge Louis Walsh appeared to change his mind at the last minute over who to keep in the show.

Poole was in a head-to-head with Rylan Clark to determine who would leave, with Walsh having the final say on which act to keep in the show.

The Irishman appeared to vote for Poole but then changed his mind to put the decision to deadlock, with Clark ultimately winning the battle.

Speaking about her eviction from the series - which saw mentor Gary Barlow walk off the set - Poole said:

"I'm still gutted - I haven't had a chance to have a proper cry yet to be honest. I am cross, but I guess it's just the nature of the beast."

The singer meanwhile commented on allegations that producer Richard Holloway spoke to Walsh whilst the showdown was happening, which has resulted in fix claims. She said:

"I could see that - it was quite offputting to be honest."
