X Factor producer Richard Holloway has denied that he influenced the outcome of X Factor's results show on Sunday (October 7).

The TV talent show was doused in controversy after judge Louis Walsh appeared to change his mind at the last minute to send the battle between Rylan Clark and Carolynne Poole to deadlock despite originally picking Poole to stay.

Clark eventually won the public vote and Poole's mentor, Gary Barlow, stormed off the stage in frustration.

A photo allegedly of producer Richard Holloway speaking to Walsh during the final sing-off was published and Poole said that she saw the "off-putting" discussion.

Holloway told The Sun, however, that "we never tell the judges what to do" and that he was merely informing Walsh that he would be voting last.
