Canadian sensation Justin Bieber has some well-known personalities in his family tree according to genealogists who have been tracing his blood line.

Earlier today (October 11), Ancestry.com told the Associated Press that the 'As Long As You Love Me' hitmaker is related to three talented individuals, namely vocal superstar Celine Dion, pop-rocker Avril Lavigne and Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling.

Apparently researchers discovered that Bieber and Gosling are 11th cousins once removed, Bieber and Lavigne are 12th cousins, and Bieber and Dion are 10th cousins three times removed. Michelle Ercanback, one of Ancestry.com's researchers, said in a statement: "The great thing about family history is that you never know what you're going to find. It was a very pleasant surprise."

Despite the obvious link in talent and fame, Ercanback added that there's no proof of a "superstar gene".

Bieber tweeted this afternoon about his love for performing live and wrote: "I LOVE BEING ON TOUR!! I LOVE SEEING ALL THE FANS!! I LOVE PERFORMING AND SHARING THE MUSIC WITH THEM!! I LOVE MUSIC!! IM HAPPY!!"
