'Bleeding Love' songstress Leona Lewis has been confirmed as one of the performers at the 2012 Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards that will take place later this month.

The ceremony, which will be hosted by Fearne Cotton, is set to be held at London's Victoria and Albert Museum on October 20 and Lewis will treat event goers to a live set.

Speaking about her invitation to perform, she explained that as a previous winner it's an honour to return: "I am so honoured to be performing at Cosmopolitan's Ultimate Women of the Year Awards. What a privilege to be singing to a room full of such strong, inspirational women."

Singer and former Strictly Come Dancing panelist Alesha Dixon has also been asked to sit on the judging panel to decide who wins this year's prizes and she said:

"I'm honoured to be judging the Cosmopolitan awards again! Supporting and celebrating women from all walks of life is why I love Cosmo. The night is always so moving and so much fun. I can't wait!"
