Courtney Love on new single: 'It's the greatest rock song I've ever heard'

Hole rocker Courtney Love has revealed that she is set to release a brand new solo single, named 'This Is War', that may lead to the eventual unveiling of a new studio album.

Speaking to the Rolling Stone magazine at Sir Elton John's 11th annual "An Enduring Vision" benefit for AIDS on Monday (October 15), Love explained that she's excited about her new cut and she feels as though it could enjoy great commercial success:

"I'd put it out right now because it's a two-minute, 59-second song and it's sick, slamming, great. I think it'll go Number One in the U.K. However, in the United States, who f**king knows? I never thought I'd put out a 130, 135 BPM song. It's a really fast rock song. I'm telling you, it's probably the greatest rock song I've ever heard."

She also expressed her excitement at watching Fleetwood Mac songstress Stevie Nicks perform at the event and added: "When I was a little girl, I grew up on Elton and I grew up on Stevie. I’m really excited to be here."
