Jake Bugg scores UK number one with debut album

Jake Bugg has today topped the UK album charts with his self-titled debut.

The Nottingham singer-songwriter unexpectedly thwarted Leona Lewis’ bid to land a third consecutive chart-topping album, with ‘Glassheart’ having to settle for a No.3 new entry instead.

Last week’s No.1, Mumford & Sons’ ‘Babel’ dropped to No.2, Muse’s ‘The 2nd Law’ fell to No.4, while Rebecca Ferguson's 'Heaven' re-entered at No.5.

Elsewhere, there were new entries for Art Garfunkel’s 'The Singer,' Bellowhead’s 'Broadside,' Diana Krall’s 'Glad Rag Doll,' Friar Alessandro’s 'Voice From Assisi' and Donald Fagen’s 'Sunken Condos.'
