Little Mix: "Girl power is back"

Little Mix have expressed their joy at Girls Aloud's reunion.

The pop group announced on Friday (October 19) that they were set to reunite for a tour and a greatest hits album to mark their 10th anniversary.

Speaking to Capital FM, Little Mix said that they are pleased to seem some females taking the plaudits again after a year of male acts such as One Direction lording the pop scene.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock said: "The boys have been dominating it – One Direction, The Wanted – it's about time for a bit of girl power really."

She continued: "We're really supportive of them. They're completely different to us, so it's going to be nice to have another girl band out there."

As previously reported, Little Mix recently revealed the video for their latest single 'DNA', which sees the group go for an edgier look.
