Adele and One Direction rise up British under-30 rich list

Adele and One Direction have rocketed up a list of the richest under-30s in Britain today.

The boy band have enjoyed a hugely successful 2012 and that is reflected in the £26.33m they are said to own, coming in fifth place on heat magazine's list.

Adele meanwhile has shot up ten places since last year with a fortune of £26.07m - a long way off Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe (£53.33m) and Twilight's Robert Pattinson (£38.73m), who came out top in first and second place respectively.

The next highest music entry after sixth placed Adele is Leona Lewis with a fortune of £13.66m, closely followed by Cheryl Cole (£13.4m).

Katie Melua meanwhile completes the top ten with an amassed total of £11.07m.
