Little Mix have opened up on fellow young popstars One Direction.

Both acts are graduates of the UK X Factor, with Little Mix winning the 2011 series and One Direction nabbing the bronze medal back in 2010.

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has since entered a relationship with One Direction's Zayn Malik and it seems their relationship is blossoming.

Speaking to Capital FM, the 'Wings' stars praised One Direction, calling them a bunch of "down to earth" lads. Jesy Nelson said:

"They're five down to earth normal guys and I think that's why a lot of girls and boys can relate to them...and they're just fun. They love what they're doing and I think people love to watch them as well because they love what they do."
