Lawson happy to receive praise from One Direction and Olly Murs

Lawson have spoken of their pleasure at being sent messages of support from established pop acts like One Direction.

The emerging band are hotly tipped and their single 'Standing In The Dark' received a lot of praise - especially from the pop world, it seems.

Lawson told Capital FM that they were bigged up by the likes of One Direction's Niall Horan and Olly Murs, as well as 'Lego House' star Ed Sheeran.

Drummer Adam Pitts said: "About a month ago, Niall Horan from One Direction tweeted that he liked our new single which was pretty cool – we got a lot of feedback from that."

Bassist Ryan Fletcher added: "Olly Murs, he loves the single. We were just chatting to Ed Sheeran [and] he said he likes the new single which is really cool. We've been getting a lot of really nice support from our peers recently."
